Meet The Team

Cheryl Jacko, LPC
Couples Therapy / Certified Gottman Therapist
As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Certified Gottman Therapist, I have centered my practice on working exclusively with couples. Using Gottman Method Couples Therapy, an
evidence-based treatment for improving relationships based on 40+ years of research, I thoroughly assess the strengths and challenges of your relationship and address the issues with
research-based tools to help productively manage conflict, build trust, and deepen friendship and intimacy. If you are at a crossroads with your partner or just looking to improve relationship satisfaction, you have come to the right place. I am here to offer hope and help in navigating your relationship by blending a balance of therapy and education, which is a key aspect of my work with couples. Additionally, I work as an adjunct professor at Kean University teaching Family Counseling and Internship courses to graduate level students, as I am passionate about developing the next generation of counselors and extending my reach beyond the therapy room.

Sam Luba, LCSW
Adolescents, Adults
I am a licensed mental health professional with extensive experience supporting youth and adults facing emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and understood. In our first session, we focus on building rapport, identifying your goals, and beginning a personalized plan using evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and practical skill-building. I specialize in helping individuals and families manage overwhelming emotions, improve daily functioning, and strengthen coping and social skills, with an emphasis on fostering resilience, hope, and lasting positive change.

Julie Badras, LPC
Adolescents, Adults
As a Licensed Professional Counselor with 10+ years of experience in counseling and education, I specialize in working with adolescents who struggle with anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, family conflict, grief, relationship/peer issues, self-esteem, academic stress, and college/career planning. Working in both the clinical mental health and school counseling fields, I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, psychoeducation, and mindfulness techniques to help youth overcome their challenges and achieve their emotional, social, and academic goals. Additionally, as a mother of a spontaneous and loving 3-year-old daughter, I understand the challenges of parenting and am passionate about providing parenting and family support in my counseling work as well.

Lauren Krueger, LPC
Adolescents, Adults
As a licensed counselor, complemented by 18 years of experience as a high school counselor, I bring extensive expertise to my work. This combination allows me to support clients with a deep understanding of adolescent and family dynamics while providing thoughtful, individualized care. Drawing from both my professional background and lived experiences as a daughter, friend, wife, mother, and coach, I strive to connect authentically with clients and guide them through life’s challenges with empathy, insight, and practical perspective.

Michael Loupis, LPC, LCADC
Adolescents, Adults
As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC), a Level 2 Certified Attachment Based Family Therapist, and a Certified Parent Coach, I bring extensive experience to my work and approach each client and family individually. I draw from several different techniques, including CBT, REBT, ABFT, and MI to find the best fit, as no one single therapeutic method works for everyone. Helping clients see how their thoughts, feelings, and actions are all interconnected and examining how childhood upbringing may impact current behaviors, thoughts, and mood, I strive to help my clients gain insight to make lasting change. Additionally, I work as a Student Assistance Counselor (SAC) and anti-bullying specialist at a NJ Public School and teach Practicum and Internship courses to graduate level students at Kean University, as an adjunct professor.
